Wells Fargo Limits REO Agents

Many of our clients have asked whether or not they should register with Default School and Wells Fargo’s REO (foreclosure) division. Here is a response that PAS (http://www.pasreo.com/reo/), Well’s REO division, posted on their site:

Notice to Agents

Premiere Asset Services (PAS) has made a business decision to limit access to our online training program for the time being. We will continue to recruit in individual markets, but future access to the training and the network will be by invitation only.

The overwhelming response to our courses has been terrific and our real estate agent network is much stronger as a result of this training initiative. However, it is now appropriate for PAS to focus our resources and business on our existing network members. As future REO and BPO volume demands present themselves, the need to again open up the network may occur.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

New York Real Estate Connect Conference: 1/9/08

blogger-fiesta-017.jpgOn January 9, 2008 the NYC Real Estate Connect Conference will be held at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square.  For those of you unfamiliar with the Connect conferences it’s  a 3-day event focused completely on the latest and greatest updates in real estate and real estate related technology.  Every hour there seems to be multiple panel discussions and classes being held on every topic imaginable.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Michael Shermer, publisher of Skeptic Magazine.  Dr. Shermer is “a genuine ghost-buster and a relentless crusader against superstition and pseudoscience.”  I’m not quite sure how he fits into the real estate atmosphere other than possibly helping to dispel the anxiety of purchasing a haunted house, but it should be interesting.

Brad Inman, the founder of the Connect Conferences and owner of Inman News, Inman Stories, and several other companies is as genuine as they come.  Don’t be surprised to see him mingling with the bloggers, the brokers, or the tekkies while pow-wowing at the “after party” events.  He is insightful and has the amazing gift of bringing together the most cutting edge groups of individuals within our industry.

If you get the opportunity to attend one of the Real Estate Connect events I strongly urge you to not miss out.  Any costs that you may incur will be greatly outweighed by the knowledge gained, and networks you build.
